Please note that Cleveland Carriage Company are unable to refund any deposit taken. Should personal circumstances change, all cancellations must be notified, in writing, 60 DAYS prior to the wedding date or full payment is liable. In the event of any form of transportation breakdown, Cleveland Carriage Company will not be held responsible, but will endeavour to make alternative transport arrangements for you. In the event of incorrect or missing vital information from the form, or, extreme weather conditions e.g. fork lightning, extreme high winds, and severe icy conditions, we will have the right to not continue with the horses.
When hiring the horses for weddings, they will only be expected to stand around for no longer than one hour outside of your ceremony location (if hired for going on to reception). If you do require us to wait any longer there will be a charge at the end of the stipulated time of £100.00/hr to be paid in cash. If payment is not received at the end of the booked time we reserve the right to exit from the location.
There is no smoking allowed in the carriage, and there must be no more than 4 people in the traditional, and 4 in Princess coach at any one time. Children can be taken on the carriages as long as they are strictly supervised and seated always. The booking client/s are responsible for all costs related to damage to our carriage, or injury to our horses, as a direct result of the actions of the carriage occupants. Cleveland Carriage Company will not be held responisble for any injury to carriage occupants due to neglagence, irresponsible behaviour, or failure to adhere to instructions given by the coach driver or footman.
As part of your booking we provide you with a footman. The footman will be available to assist you into and out of the carriage. Both driver and footman will be dressed smartly in livery with top hats. All our carriages are adorned with cream flowers and green foliage. If you wish to add additional flowers to match your colour scheme they must be supplied to us 2 days prior to your ceremony date.
Payments are to be made via bank transfer to Cleveland Carriage Company any outstanding balance shall be PAID IN FULL no later than 60 days prior to your ceremony date or our services will be withdrawn. However, you may still be liable for costs incurred.
Bookings are not considered firm until funds have cleared, and, the booking form has been returned. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the booking form is completed correctly and returned at the time of the deposit being paid. In extenuating circumstances, where a booking form cannot be completed, the event details may be taken from electronic or handwritten correspondence (we are unable to accept verbal direction). In all cases the client agrees to the terms and conditions set out herein by paying for the carriage service.
Cleveland Carriage Company respectfully requrest that clients check every aspect of their booking throughtly as Cleveland Carriage Company cannot be held responsible for errors, or, omissions, from the booking that later results in disappointment on the day.
Vital Information also required prior to booking - hilly terrain or steep inclines, cattle grids, railway crossings, parts of the journey where the road is over 40 mph. We also need to know if you plan any activities which involve excessive noise such as fireworks, drums, bagpipes, marching bands, and airborne drones. Please take note to provide all the required information. Failure to do so may result in termination of the transportation at any point during the day.
